What Determines Your Zodiac Sign?

Respect For Tradition

The original zodiac dates were determined using the same method as the Corrected Zodiac. On each day, the sun rises through the sky and passes through one of 12 constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, or Pisces. The dates that were determined thousands of years ago remain unchanged by nearly all followers of the zodiac, but does the sun still rise in the same place it did all that time ago? The answer, unsurprisingly, is no.

Our Earth and Sun’s positions in the universe are far from stagnant. Over time, where the Sun rises through the celestial background has shifted. For many, the Sun no longer rises through their traditional zodiac sign. To fully respect what created the zodiac so long ago, we need to use updated dates for where the Sun actually rises each day. I would like to believe the reason most have stuck with the old dates, is due to a lack of knowledge that they have actually changed. The goal of this project is to try to educate people of the changes, and to help strengthen the idea that there is merit to this ancient tradition as we bring it into the modern era.
